Docking Primary School pupils learn about the art of puppetry in 1994
In our weekly Memory Lane Schooldays feature we look back to October 1994…
Eighty-three children arrived at Docking Primary School in October 1994 carrying a cereal box – and went home with a puppet.
In between, the children learned about the art of puppetry and how to make their own fully operational models, with the help of members of Norwich-based Octopus Puppets.
Using materials provided by Octopus the children turned their cereal boxes into shadow puppets, which could be projected onto a screen by light.
Pictured here, puppeteer Liz Nesbitt joins some of the pupils to show what can be achieved.
