Dersingham spot-kick miss proves costly in goalless draw against Weeting Saxon
The Dersingham manager jiggled the squad due to missing players for this top clash against Weeting Saxon in Division One of the North West Norfolk League.
However, the matchday squad never let him down and they all played their part in this high-intensity game.
The first half saw Dersingham rue the missed chances, and they had a penalty saved by the Weeting goalie, James Dewing.
In the second half the pace of the game never slowed and it was end-to-end stuff with good attack and defensive play from both sides.
Weeting hit the post twice, once from a well-taken free kick from James Langley.
Their Man of the Match was the industrious, Jamie Langley (a different player than the free-kick taker).
Dersingham's Man of the Match was Stuart Deadman, who put in a superb performance and several Weeting players stated he was the best player on the pitch.
Young Jason Watkins officiated this closely-fought battle very well and kept the game moving.
